This dog who misses a leg found a new dad like her!

Sometimes the hazards of life do things well!

Whiskey is a Pitbull to whom luck has not smiled. Victim of human cruelty, Whiskey was used as a live target in a clandestine breeding of fighting dogs.

Regularly attacked by her colleagues who had been trained in this brutal practice, she was covered with scars and wounds in addition to having a bullet stuck in the left shoulder. Fortunately, her ordeal ended when she arrived at a shelter in Fort Worth, Texas, USA in September 2018.

His shoulder injury was serious, and the vets were forced to amputate her leg to save his life. Once taken care of by a host family, she was able to learn to move on her remaining three legs and to trust the humans. Her temporary family cared for her to help her relax and overcome all the obstacles she had to face.

After 5 months of rehabilitation and socialization, Whiskey was ready to be adopted by a new family for life! Remained to find people who could take care of her in the best conditions ... The story of this beautiful dog has been shared on social networks in the hope of finding the ideal owner.

Whiskey's adoption search was relayed to the Facebook page of Lucky Fin Project, an association that communicates about the daily lives and needs of people who are missing one or more members.

For example, a man named Jeff Myers, a family man and born without a left forearm, came across Whiskey's story and immediately knew that this dog was destined to join his family. Whiskey was adopted in February and has a lot of fun playing with her teacher who understands what she's doing everyday. And here is a story that ends well!
